One by one, homes around the neighborhood are being decorated with Christmas lights and day by day, the weather is getting colder. It could only mean one thing - we’re in the holiday season!
And this year, there’s plenty of local events the whole family can enjoy. From picking out a fresh Christmas tree from Frosty’s Forest to having fun in the snow at Eastvale’s “Miracle on Citrus Street” event, it’ll be a winter to remember, so make sure to mark your calendars!
Chino Hills Boat Parade | December 16
It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for… the 30th Annual Boat Parade is here! Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Chino Hills, it’s a Christmas tradition the entire community looks forward to each year. Starting on Peyton Drive and Eucalyptus Ave at 7pm, the parade of decorated boats, trucks, and cars will make its way down Boys Republic Drive and around the city.
Grab your lawn chairs and call all of your family and friends because it’s an unforgettable holiday experience you don’t want to miss. It’s the perfect chance to invite your neighbors to a front yard barbecue and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
Frosty’s Forest | November 25 - December 20
Out with the pumpkins, in with the Christmas trees! Frosty’s Forest is open now until December 20th, so take the family on a trip to pick out your own Oregon-grown Christmas tree. Ranging from tabletop to over 13 feet, Frosty’s offers a wide selection of Noble Fir, Grand Fir, Nordmann Fir, and Douglas Fir trees. They even offer custom flocking with a variety of colors or the classic white.
While you’re there, browse through their beautiful wreaths and greenery to adorn your porch, and take a look at their adorable handcrafted wooden decor (like the holiday classics of reindeers and snowmen).
Snow Show at The Shoppes | November 25 - December 24
The Shoppes has always been a popular social hub for the community, and this holiday season, there’s even more to be merry about. From now until December 24th, enjoy the festivities! Catch a ride on the Express Train, take memorable holiday photos, and admire the amazing 35-foot Christmas Tree. On Fridays through Sundays at 6pm and 7pm, don’t miss out on the magical snow show at the heart of The Shoppes.
5K Reindeer Run & Rudolph’s Dash Fun Run | December 17
Tie your shoelaces, grab the strollers, and come join the fun at the annual holiday event hosted by the City of Ontario. Whether you want to challenge yourself with the 5K Reindeer Run or take the kiddos to the shorter Ruloph Dash Fun Run, it’s sure to be tons of fun. Afterwards, visit the Rudolph’s Roundup area to enjoy the arts and crafts, exercise activities, and local business booths.
Not only do you get to enjoy an exciting, family-friendly event with the whole community, but your participation also helps raise money for the Ontario-Montclair Promise Scholars. All proceeds from the race will be donated to their program designed to help the local youth prepare for their journey towards a college education and dream of a bigger future.
Kids & Cops Holiday Magic | December 17
On December 17th from 9am to 1pm, the Corona Police Department is hosting their annual “Kids & Cops Holiday Magic” event. In this festive season of giving, the whole community has come together to support the local youth through generous donations. At this free event, kids can enjoy the crafts and activities, and each will receive their own gift!
(Proof of Corona residency is required to register at the Circle City center.)
Holiday Car Show | December 17
Are you a car enthusiast? Then make sure to stop by the Holiday Car Show on December 17th. The event will be held at the parking lot at the corner of Boys Republic and Shoppes Drive in Chino Hills from 5-8pm.
Miracle on Citrus Street | December 17 - 18
Come experience the winter wonderland at Eastvale’s spectacular holiday event. With everything from delicious food and craft vendors to a trip to the North Pole on a magic train ride, there’s something for everyone in the family to enjoy. And make sure to bring your snow gear because you won’t want to miss the ultimate snow zone. There will be snow sleds, ramps, slides, a snow play area, and even holiday inflatables!
It will be a free two-day event from December 17-18 (3-9pm both days). No registration is required and parking will be available across the street at Eleanor Roosevelt High School.
